About Me

secondprofilepicture2019.jpg

Personal: I truly enjoy the relationships that are built during this process and being a part of growth and positive change. Being a counselor has taught me that I learn more from my clients than they learn from me, and that we are all connected in a way in which we can simply just sit and learn from each other. Also, I am a huge animal lover and believe in the therapeutic energy of animals and nature. From time to time, you may hear me talk about my cat and my walks in nature.

Education/Professional-Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Amberton University. Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from The University of North Texas. I am a LPC-Supervisor.

Experience: I have a background in working with clients who have been diagnosed with a severe mental disorder and who live with and manage chronic symptoms and stress. I was employed with a behavioral health agency where I was a therapist, case manager, and an advocate for clients. I have worked with clients who experience various challenges, including severe depression, anxiety, psychosis, stress, financial difficulties, grief and loss, relationship issues, family issues, addiction, crisis management, abuse and trauma. My experience within private practice has included focusing on working with the LGBTQ+ community, specifically helping individuals who self-identify as LGBTQ+ with not only overcoming challenges and struggles, but also thriving. My pronouns are She/Her/Hers.
